Frowst, a book by Joanna Piotrowska

CAPAA

They say you should not judge a book by it’s cover. Well… Unless it’s black, and it’s content is really interesting! Frowst is a collection of sepia toned images highlighting the awkwardness of intimacy through a beautiful series of staged family photos made by Joanna Piotrowska. The title itself denotes a warm or stuffy atmosphere and captures the paradoxical nature of the family: frowsty spaces are both cosy and claustrophobic, intimate and airless.
